Solved my problem with a 15,000-mi old Gates junk waterpump leaking on my 04 WRX. The thing must have warped because I tried replacing the gasket first and it still nada... I'll tell you I wasn't happy to be dropping the coolant and taking apart the timing gear for a second time... but, found out I needed helicoils on the bolt holes anyway (which went in great and I recommend anyway since it threads into soft aluminum https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002KKPXK/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_67) and they held this OEM Waterpump nice and snug.Anyway, don't mess around with aftermarket Waterpumps, get this from Subaru and never do it again (and get the Subaru Long Life Coolant with the Conditioner too, of course).
