It's a good product, but I bought this one (Medium) and the Flashing LED version to see which would get a better response from the fur kids. The flashy one was the prize and is still getting a lot of interest for one of our mini-schnauzers. The non-flashy one is sadly ignored for the most part, but he will chase it and bring it back if I roll it.This is a hard plastic ball, it will mare when they mouth it hard, and it is NOT throwable, unless you want to put a hole in the dry wall. Sturdy and so far, not crackable. You can also replace the batteries in it if you need to later. Not sure if your dog will like it , but mine loves it. Its hard plastic so you can't throw it hard but its durable. Make funny noises that you'll recognize. It calls out to them after they play with it to keep them interested. Helps you find it if they loose it. Different sizes are great. This one is a small but he plays with the medium one too. Hes never tried chewing it up. Its not to loud which I like alot but enough that they like it. It farts, barks, door knocks and many more little sayings. Hes had it for about a year and still plays with itThis is a neat toy! I have a Yorkie and he's a little guy and this ball is just the right size that he can pick up in his mouth. A lot of the time he'll just start playing with it since it has a motion sensor to know when it's being moved, he'll bump it with his leg and then the fun it on! If you do buy this the smart thing would be to buy some LR44 batteries too! I purchased a sheet of 15 for about $8 on amazon, so I'm good for 5 battery changes. You wouldn't think this would be good for a dog due to the fact that it is made of hard plastic but it has taken a beating and is still in one piece! I absolutely still advise to monitor just in case it does crack open but so far it hasn't cracked open once and we have had it for over a month now. Mostly he paws it around when it makes sounds. My dog digs for this one especially out of his toy basket. Sometimes he does go to town trying to bite it but it has stood up to the test. I'm actually quite surprised! Also I bought the back up batteries but have not had to change them yet. Great prodcuct!I know it’s odd I gave it 5 stars for durability, sturdiness and noise level and gave it a 4 overall. The material is very hard and my blind puppy can’t pick it up. I’ve found many of these types of balls are made from very hard plastic making it difficult for my dog to pick up and carry drop and then reengage with. Overall it’s a fun product. My 9 month old Dalmatian/English Setter mix was a little unsure of this at first. I think the phrases “No” and “Don’t” can make a dog, especially one in training unsure about playing with it. He needed reassurance that it was okay for him to play with.He has since warmed up to it. I don’t find it to be too loud…but then again I have 2 other dogs and kids so noise isn’t a problem for me. If you are someone who doesn’t like noise makers avoid this one.The ball is a very hard plastic, I thought it would be a softer ball. This would work great on carpet, but we have hardwood floors so this is very noisy. Also the ball makes quite a bit of racket, be ready for non stop noise. My puppy was afraid of it in the beginning, but he's gotten used to it now. He likes to drop it and hear the racket!I was very nervous buying this item because I figured my husky mix puppy who is a strong chewer and plays rough would immediately break the toy. To my surprise it had held up so far (two weeks)! She looooves this ball. It will keep her busy for a long time. The ball is made with little grooves so that it will continue rolling on its own without the dog having to constantly push it to trigger the sounds. At first my dog was so perplexed by the ball and she still cries sometimes playing with it because I think she thinks there's a little man in there that she wants to get out, haha. Five stars, totally worth the money! The first one stopped working after an hour or so, put new batteries in and it still didn't work!! Company sent me a replacement which stopped working after half an hour. Company offered me a refund, postage to send it which would be deducted from the refund! Their email said that if there were any teeth marks on it or signs of chewing then they wouldn't refund. It's a DOGS BALL for goodness sake!!!! What do they expect??? Dog to chase it with its TONGUE!!!! Both of mine had slight tooth marks on them but definitely no signs of chewing!!! Would not recommend this toy even though my dog had very short lived fun! Not worth returning it but certainly no chance of recommending it - very angry ?????This is a fantastic thing in many ways and it certainly kept our labrador's attention, to the exclusion of everything and anything else. The only real downside is that it's made of such hard plastic and our kitchen quickly became like a giant bagatelle table, with the ball flying everywhere with a loud crash. We tried putting it inside a couple of old socks to cushion it, but this quickly proved a bad idea, as the dog could now fling it about in the air and it was a question of what would be smashed first, the microwave, the glass oven door or the windows. With the non-stop manic sounds from the device, the crashing of it against expensive fixtures and fittings and the dog charging around like a crazy thing, it all degenerates into a nightmare game of capture the Babble, where all we want to do is grab it and hide it away before the dog becomes even more wild chasing it (it moves very fast on a tiled floor). It certainly wears the dog out, but unfortunately, it wears us out too. All this thing needs to make it more civilised is a thick rubber coating, so that it doesn't wreck the house - that would be a 5 star improvement.
