Flames of War: Finnish Landsverk Anti II Anti-Aircraft Gun (Late-War) The Swedish-made Landsverk Anti II self-propelled anti-aircraft guns are very good weapons. Their 40mm Bofors cannon with its high rate of fire make them very useful in keeping roving Soviet aircraft away from Finnish armoured troops. Swedish company Landsverk developed L-62 design during 1941-42 by lengthening the hull of the L-60/m-36 tank (see HU010 Toldi) and mounting the excellent 40mm Bofors anti-aircraft cannon (40 ItK/38). Finland bought six Landsverk Anti-II anti-aircraft vehicles from Sweden in 1942. In May they were assigned to the Anti-aircraft battery of the Armoured Brigade. During the summer 1944 battles the battery downed eleven Soviet aircraft and prevented air-attacks against the Armoured Brigade. The Finns continued to use Landsverk Anti-II until 1966.
