I use this toner to print items I need to have sent to my family and friends. It is an excellent toner to use.Hard to beat oemMy printer uses this type of ink cartridge , but I only wish it last longer for the price it costs.Got this ink for home use Canon Laser imageCLASS MF4880dw. It's been 5 years and I came to see when and how much we got the ink for ($70). I can't believe how long it has been (fingers cross no sign of low ink yet). Mother has an old printer that we need to go and help replace new ink every few months (getting tired of it) so we may give her our printer and we upgrade ours.Update: 8/30/20Looks like it's time to order a new cartridge for backup as the current one I'm using was purchased on Nov 7, 2014 is showing signs of low ink. Still prints and readable but the top left corner is a bit light. Last time the seller was Amazon Service. I saw many 1 star reviews and to be honest a bit nervous to reorder. But this ink is now lasting close to 6 years.Update 12/22/2021Well, the ink I ordered last year is still in its box! I took the ink out and shook it a few times, stuck it back in and have been using that with "Toner nearly out" blinking all this time. I do have to turn off the printer as it won't go to "energy saving" mode with error message. Please see my headline.good jobHave always bought the "genuine" Canon brand toner cartridges, for years, and never had a problem with smudges or service life.To the best of my knowledge, the date stamp on the carton, which is often very faint and hard to read, is the mfg date and not an expiration date. In my experience, I get normal use (for me always 2000 pp. or more) if the cartridge is less than 12-14 months since mfg date, when I install it. "Probably" safer to order Amazon fulfilled, to get a fresher product. Last one was under 6 mos. since mfg.A plus is that the Canon product also includes instructions to send it back to Canon in the original box postpaid, for recycling.I very tried the "budget" toners for my Canon printer, but they don't hold a candle to the real Canon toner cartridges. I get more copies AND better quality ink with Canon toner. This ink does not peel off my premium paper the way the cheaper toner off-brand ink did. I will continue to use the genuine stuff.I have been getting the 128 cartridge for a number of years but all of a sudden I am getting junk. Don't buy this crap from amazon. Find somewhere else to get the. Other solution is to junk your Canon printer.I bought this genuine toner cartridge instead of an after market compatible cartridge but there are repeating horizontal lines spaced 7.5 cm apart on every print. 7.5 cm seems like the circumference of the drum. When I pay a premium to buy a genuine toner, I don't expect it to perform the same as the after market toner costing less than 1/3 price.I recieved the cartridge and it was empty-----a new one was recieved and it seemed to work fine--------the replacement came in a plastic covering--------the original one did not-------I can only conclude that an empty one was returned by someone else and the empty one was shipped to me--------I’ve had this cartridge now for 4 weeks. I didn’t even print one package of paper and it’s already showing me a light in the printer saying Prepare Cartridge. Today also ink was appearing off the page onto my hands. The cartridge that I got with the printer lasted me 7 years. This one doesn’t even let me 1 month. Won’t buy this again.I like that is easy to install on my printer .It last a long time . It’s good for many printing jobs .It worthwhile the money I payed for it .
