Could be a little more accurate, but for its purpose, works ok.It worked perfectly for my needs and is a real frustration saver. It is a little difficult to use (Will not hold the Battery in Place ) and only measures the current voltage. The unit is mostly empty space inside and features four resistors (air wired) and is very generic inside. There really isn’t anything to using one of these – it’s “intuitive”. The result indications you get from the tester can, at times, differ significantly, as with the same battery tested several times. Not worth risking a dead battery in my garage access or having an unknown fire inside my house. Not having a battery tester meant that I'd buy a box of 9v batteries each spring to remove and replace the battery in each of my 5 smoke detectors and my garage door keypad. I bought one of these and lo and behold, the smoke detector battery that I removed tested as strong s the one I was going to change it with. The tester paid for itself in the first usage. I still change the keypad because it gets used often and it won't last two years. LOLBought for my girl friend to test batteries.EASY to use and fits in our battery storage case.I too like it!Even though my old battery tester looked just like this one(and I was really leery about getting another) I decided to give this brand a try. I tested a bowlful of batteries that I wasn't convinced that they were all bad, according to my old tester, and in minutes found what were good and which were not.This product is worth the investment.
