Charges AA and AAA batteries quickly.I have used two Ansmann POWERline4's for over 15 years. They were able to "resurrect" batteries that my LaCross BC500 would call "defective" for years, and I've gotten over 5 years of great use from such "defective batteries with hard use of them!I accidentally broke one of the POWERline4's and needed a replacement. This Powerline 4 Light is ideal. It's lighter weight than the POWERLINE and has a several foot cord, as well as showing how each battery is being charged. That's a great improvement over the old charger, and the new charger is perhaps 1/2 the price that the old one originally was.I just fully charged 3 batteries that the La Cross 500 rejected, and they work fine in my flash. I'd buy another dozen of the Powerline 4 Lights if I needed any more chargers!This charger is very similar to the Powerline. Its form factor is great, as it is small in size. It has fewer features but in return you pay less for this charger. As is the case with every Ansmann product that I have purchased and used, it works very well. I appreciate the fact that you can monitor each cell individually. This charger can also be used with a 12 volt automobile lighter/power port to allow charging on the go. It even has a USB port. All in all, this charger cannot be beat for the price!This seller also provides excellent service. I have heard of other people purchasing Ansmann products from other suppliers. In the rare event that there is a problem, the other sellers have not always been cooperative. I have been purchasing from this organization for years and experienced a couple bad cells, out of the box. They were exchanged with no questions asked.This has taught me that the Amazonbasics charger doesn't fully charge batteries. I love the display that provides voltage and capacity information for the batteries, and I love how long the 2850mah batteries last. Quality stuff!Ansmann is the best. That's just an industry fact. The only reason I'd didn't give this a 5 star review is that the USB "charging" port is only rated for 1A. That's incredibly slow. Almost all USB chargers are rated for at least 2.1A, if not 2.4A. So it'll charge your device faster than a laptop USB port (0.5A), but it's still going to take a long time.The Ansmann PL 4 Light is a great product to introduce new customers to Ansmann. It has the same charging power as the Ansmann Powerline 4 Pro, but without all of the bells and whistles and offered at a price that is about $10 lower. You won’t get the power adapter for your car’s cigarette lighter, or the 3 functions buttons. You still get a handy USB charging port for your portable devices (disabled while batteries are charging). The end result is the same…your batteries will be conditioned and charged in identical fashion to what the Powerline 4 Pro does. It did a great job when I used it for the first time and the batteries are performing like champs!This is a great charger with the power and quality of the ANSMANN brand at an entry-level price. Basic features include individual charging and monitoring of 1-4 AA or AAA cells as well as a USB port for charging cell phones or other devices. The LCD display is easy to read and shows % charged and voltage of each cell. There are no complicated buttons or menus, just insert your batteries and let it do it's thing. This is a great charger if you're just getting started with quality rechargeable batteries or if you need a small portable charger or backup charger to compliment one of Ansmann's larger charging systems.This charger is great! I've been an Ansmann rechargeable customer for a while, and this is a great addition to their line of chargers. The display is great, instead of just having lights, its great to be able to see the level of charge in each battery. We have a couple of the larger chargers in our church, but this Powerline 4 is a great way to not only start using Ansmann chargers, but to have them around your home or office, and it's small and portable too! Definitely MUCH better than any regular battery charger you'd pick up at a store, definitely recommend getting it, or a few!Zu den Akkus:Gerade für externe Blitzlichter ist die Anforderung an die Stromquelle enorm. Nachdem ich über mehrere Jahre verschiedenste Akkus ausprobiert habe, bin ich vor einigen Jahren bei den Ansmann Mignon AA Typ 2850mAh NiMH gelandet. Ich nutze diese Akkus aufgrund beruflicher Fotografie sehr intensiv. Dadurch ist es nicht ungewöhnlich, dass ich die Akkus etwa 20 mal im Monat laden muss.Dies ist die erste Nachbestellung der gleichen Akkus, die ich vor etwa vier Jahren gekauft habe. Wegen der vielen Ladezyklen war nun ein Leistungsrückgang feststellbar. Nach derzeitigem Stand der Akkutechnik würde ich diese Akkus für die Verwendung in meinem Blitzlicht wieder bestellen.Zum Ladegerät:Da das ANSMANN Powerline 4 Light Akku Ladegerät in der Produktbeschreibung als Schnellladegerät beschrieben ist, habe ich mich für dieses Gerät entschieden. Im Vergleich zu meinem bisherigen Schnellladegerät eiens anderen Herstellers, dass ich wegen defekt austauschen musste, ist bei diesem Gerät die Ladezeit etwas länger. Vorteil bei dem Ansmann-Ladegerät ist wohl, dass hier aufgrund modernerer Technik und der automatischen Umschaltung auf Erhaltungsladung die Akkus auch mal etwas länger (z.B. über Nacht) im Ladegerät bleiben können. Letztlich wird der Langzeitbetrieb erst einen ordentlichen Vergleich und eine entsprechende Bewertung ermöglichen.Das Gerät lädt verlässlich und ist nicht allzu groß. Es zeigt an, mit welcher Spannung geladen wird und wie viel Prozent bereits geladen wurden. Es arbeitet nicht allzu schnell, aber dass es kein Schnellladegerät ist, weiß man schließlich schon beim Kauf, und deshalb gibt's hier keine Punkte abzuziehen.Das Ladegerät ist leicht zu handhaben und Dank der Praktischen Anzeige weiß man auch genau wie weit die Akkus sind mit dem aufladen.Und die Akkus stellen genug Energie zurverfügung.Hat alles super geklappt und bisher scheint auch alles einwandfrei zu funktionieren :) Versand war schnell.Habe nur gutes von diesen Akkus gelesen, deshalb habe ich sie mir gekauft, bin gespannt.Ich habe das Ladegerät mit 4 Akkus bestellt. Die Akkus halten lange und haben mir schon die ein oder andere Batterie erspart. Immer wieder
