I needed a charger to quit buying batteries for my many battery operated devices. I decided to get this one. My biggest mistake was, I purchased an extra set of batteries but, they were AAA instead of, AA. Oh well, for as little as I use devices for the AAA, I now have spares. lol Anyway, I don't know all the specs for batteries and chargers of the like and how they actually operate when it comes to charging but, this charger, in my book, isn't all that great or, it's the batteries themselves. What I'm saying is, I had to charge the AA batteries to a full charge (came half charged, it seemed as to having to charge them a short time later) and that took almost 8 hours to complete. OK, no biggie. I then put them in a few devices, mainly my rooms air fresheners of which, consume low power. They were all dead in less than two weeks. I compared them with Dollar Store cheap batteries and those lasted longer. I buy batteries for them once the canister is empty of which is around 30 days depending on the setting you want them to spray. Same happened with my many wall clocks that are battery operated. They kept losing time making me reset them often.A second thing I noticed is, while testing the charge of the batteries, I took them all out after they were completely charged using all but 2 of them and several hours later or, maybe the next day, I suffer from insomnia & sleep apnea so, my time is unsure for the most part. Anyway, I put the 2 unused batteries back into the charger and the charger indicated they were dead. I left them to recharge and after 2 hours, they appeared to be fully charged. So, it may not be the charger and just the batteries are bad, idk?In the end, it's your choice of what you purchase according to your budget. Just be sure to purchase an extra set of batteries unlike, I did not do, so the wait time to refill your devices aren't 8+ hours apart while waiting for a recharge with this charger/batteries.I think I'll stick with purchasing extra cheap, already charged batteries to add along with these, so I can use them while these are charging. If nothing else, I can always bite the cheap batteries for a few extra hours of battery life. :)I like that it came w a charger that can be used for all the batteries that came with the unit. I truly hope it comes to the expectations. I’m not literally going to test each one but it really depends are you using them in a remote a solar light or a automatic garbage can. We will see and updateFast charging and easy to use; I’m so happy to have this instead of throwing away batteries!This is well worth the cost. I always was running out of fresh batteries (particularly for remote controls) when it was too inconvenient to purchase new batteries. Now I have a fresh supply all the time.I've tried lots of rechargeable batteries and have had equal successes with every brand. FYI, Energizer buys their batteries from these Chinese factories, slaps a new sticker on it, and marks it up 300%... Every single product in the USA does it, fyi.Point being; always a good idea to buy rechargeable batteries...and always a good idea to cut out greedy middlemen - Thanks for the platform, Amazon, and thanks,China, for being technologically advanced on non-militant technologies!Easy insertion then you can forget about it until you need it!While I've only had it a few days it's been doing fine. The first 2 batteries in the unit by the power source do get hot it's not like burning hot. I just swapped them down the line for the next set and kept them rotated and it did just fine.(*mind you this was my preference,it did NOT need to be done!) My son plugged them in by his Xbox and they fully charged(all 8) after a few hours more than the few I had them on for. So far they work great in his controller.*YOU DO HAVE TO GET A WALL ADAPTER AS IT DOESN'T COME WITH ONE!*Just liked described. Worked really well.
