The Battery Organizer Storage Case is pretty cool, but mine was missing the keys. I don't have children in the house so I'm not worried about locking it. In fact it's just one more key to lose in a world where keys are probably being used less often than ever before in history. But if you have small children check the unit and boxy thoroughly. I would have given it four stars, but this isn't going to accommodate every kind of battery. So far I've made different batteries work, but just prepare yourself for certain batteries you may have to get creative. I have a weird size set of batteries (I don't remember what they're called), but I had to wrap them up in bubble wrap and use one of the pockets on the lid. The battery tester works well. I only had one set of D batteries that were bad. When I looked at the expiration date, they had expired in 2004!I used to keep all my batteries in little bags with them touching but with my battery caddy, they’re all separated and fit in individual slots. It’s convenient to reach for one thing when looking for batteries.Item came in a great shape in fact, I was able to use it as planned, tester worked well in fact. Very steady case with no issues to put it on a side or vertically - all batteries are in place despite I put some of them in free holes of other diameter. Great quality, highly recommended!I bought this case with the hopes I could convert it to my needs. It worked. I actually cut some of the foam out so I could fit my battery charger into it also. I lost a couple 9-v spaces, AA spaces, and a few AAA spaces. This was not a loss as it made it more versatile. Battery’s and charger in one handy place.I am happy I made this purchase.This is a very well constructed battery case and It holds batteries readily accessible. It stores batteries in a very sturdy and strong suitcase like holder.It looks like a mini-version of the harbor freight tool suitcase they sell. Not rock-solid but sturdy enough to last awhile. Batteries fit in the precut holes no problem. The locks are those cheesy little suitcase locks. They are of course not meant to keep anyone out. Just secures the latches a little better for transportation.Wish there were more slots for D batteries.Perfect case! It will hold a slew of different type and size of batteries and well organized!I would have constructed this case with two closing hinges; it only has one on the right side. By having two it would make this case perfect - sturdier.Do recommend!
