My rear vertical adjustment on the drivers seat of my 2008 Dodge RAM 1500 was not functioning. I tested the power at the motor and it appeared to be getting the 12V necessary to run the rear vertical motor, so I assumed the motor was the problem. After spending $90 on a new(ish) motor and installed it, it still didn't work :(. On a whim, I decided to go ahead and buy the power seat switch and wala! The old motor worked great. If you're having problems with your seat you may want to swap this out as it's a lot cheaper and easier than pulling the full seat and replacing motors. It won't alway fix your problem but clearly these things are difficult to troubleshoot even when you know what you're doing.
