I hate rechargeable batteries. I've tried many different makes, and all of them have fallen far short, either discharging too fast, or failing to hold a fresh charge soon after purchasing them.Bonai on the other hand have lasted much longer, and the original ones we bought a year ago are still holding their full charge as far as we can tell. We've bought several packs of AA's, and AAA's, since then, and they have all been consistently reliable.It's now at the stage that when other branded rechargeables need replacing, we send them to our junk box, switching all of the devices we have that use these two sizes to the Bonai ones, and are more than happy.These batteries were purchased (Aug 2022) for use in emergency lanterns and flashlights. So far, they are good, and the lights were bright when initially installed. Hopefully, a few months from now, when the rainy weather begins, the charge will be as strong. I will post an update.UPDATE: My mother left our storm lantern on for about 18 hours, and the batteries were still holding a charge 3 days later. They started to dim by the fourth day, and on the fifth day I put them in the charger; these batteries are AWESOME. If you find they are low charge when they, arrive charge them, and should be great.Long lastingBought these batteries for accent lights because I was tired of replacing standards AAs every other week. These Bonai batteries have been going for 2 months now and have shown no signs of stopping anytime soon. I am so impressed I just ordered more.Pre-charged and ready to use.They are exactly what you need. Yes they last just like normal batteries and then you get to REUSE them!!No problems with his product I’ve ordered it four timesI picked these up Jan 2021, and some of the Amazon branded 2400mah a few months before that. I recently ran both sets through my Ni-MH tester/charger/refresher (OPUS BT-C2400). After three cycles of discharging->charging (the basic refresh provided by the OPUS) I found that while Amazon Basics stayed pretty close to their rated amounts (2350mah vs 2400 stated) these BONAI 2800mah were all lower than expected *and* there was high variation within the same set; half of them tested at 2350mah (same as Amazon Basics, under their advertised 2800mah capacity) but the other half of them tested at 2100mah, a full twenty five percent below their advertised capacity and twelve percent below where I expected them (I expected the to have 2400mah when I ordered them).While I have yet to run a serious self-discharge test on them, anecdotally these seem to keep their charge about the same as the Amazon basics (maybe a hair worse?), but neither these nor the Amazon Basics hold a candle to the Enloops or IKEA Laddas, even the sets that we've had for years.I'm giving this 5 stars not because it's a superior product, but because it's a superior *value*. At a buck and a quarter per cell (or less with promos), if these have the same ratio of advertised cycle count vs actual cycle count as their capacity, I'll still get 800 or so recharges out of them. I bought these specifically for my kids cheap (disposable) RC cars which burn through a set of four pretty quick. These are great value as long as you're using them for the right things. I'm a little surprised by the variation within the batch, but that comes with the value proposition. I'll update my review with self discharge if we can ever manage to not go through a set for a month or two.
