I can't tell you how happy we were to find this remote.It has buttons that stick out for easy feel and useand works well with our GE - AKLK12AA window AC.We only needed to add 2 AAA batteries and it's ready.- (not included)We use the following buttons all the time(FIRST list is what this remote says ----- SECOND = what original GE remote says> Power on/off = SAME> Mode = SAME> Speed = SAME> Timer = SAME> The - up / down buttons for Mode - speed - timer = SAME> Energy saver = Eco >>> Swing and one touch are on this remote BUT not on GE - AC, NOR GE remote->>> The GE - AC also has WIFI but I don't know if this remote has anything to do with it.(we don't use the WIFI)>>> The AC has a turbo speed button - but this remote only workslow - med - high - NOT turbo.>>> This remote is very good with the GE 12,000 BTU - AKLK12AAwhich we've use approx 6 months now. It's been excellent so far and we like it.BUT the remote that came with it (cuss words !)I'll just say GE should be ashamed and embarrassed at such a piece of = cuss words.Thinking GE might give a = cuss words, I phoned them to buy a better remotewith actual buttons or even a universal emote they might have.> They sent me on a wild goose chase to Home Depot which was a bustAND other non beneficial suggestions.Again = we are VERY happy with this YAOHUIMI replacement remote.Doesn't come with any instructions - only a paper of how to install batteriesand how to contact them.
