I use these on my Nikon sb-5000 flash light. I have the white and blue versions of the Panasonic batteries and these black ones work the best. The flash light recycles instantly - the ready light on the flash does not even go off after a shot.I wanted to get away from standard alkaline batteries and get something rechargeable that isn’t as prone to leaking, so I bought these! So far they’ve been great. 2 things I’ve noticed: they are a tiny bit thicker than regular AA’s so it was a very tight fit for me application. And the other, because of the lower voltage (I know that’s just the chemistry involved with these batteries), electronics I use them in read one bar lower on how much battery I have left on just about a full charge. Not major problems, but just things to keep in mind. I would buy them again. These Eneloop Pro (black) are, by far, the best of the best in rechargeable batteries, as long as your get the ones that are made in Japan. You will typically find this on the back of the packaging if pictures are included. No one makes batteries like Panasonic. I have been using these Nimh batteries for many years in most every battery powered device I own. Both in AA and AAA, they can't be beat. Even the regular Eneloops are outstanding batteries, but the Pros are by far the best. These are beyond doubt 1 of the best rechargeable batteries on the market, yes they are a little pricy, however, if you're looking for a battery that constantly exceeds their mAh by sometimes a factor of 5% -10% (*see attached) then these are for you. I have a FLUKE 287 Multimeter that's notorious for consuming batteries, (6 at a time) EBL 2800 lasted about 70 hrs, which were approximately 2200mAh, well below the advertised 2800 mAh. Eneloop's(not the Pro Eneloop) lasted about 96, the Eneloop Pro about 220+ hrs, that's significant, the only other battery that's on par with Eneloop Pro are the LADDA 2450 (Ikea). Energizer, Duracell, and Amazon Basic are not even close to these. So if you're looking for a battery that holds a charge and outperforms almost all others on high-drain devices, then these are for you.* This is a typical discharge/recharge @ 400mA, BTW batteries in FLUKE were installed on March 29 and today being Apr5th still have approx 50% battery life, incredible!Eneloop is not a sponsor. So I ordered these to use in my blink security cameras they do go off a lot I was able to get 25 days out of these ones before they died they lasted few days longer then the regular white eneloop rechargeable batterys witch would die around 17 days of use in my security camerasI bought these to use with an antenna analyzer. When I first installed them about 4 months ago, they lasted longer than others I had used - about an hour. After re-charging the first time, they continued to have great performance. However after the third, their longevity dropped precipitously. Now, after about 4 months, they hold up for barely five minutes. I can squeeze another two to three minutes if I turn the device off and turn it back on to make a measurement. Either they are not built to withstand this kind of use or they aren't as advertised. I'm using the 2550's. I'm wondering if they should be replaced with something else. These are the rechargables of choice for me.Well, it might dissapoint if you purchase the wrong battery. There are two different Eneloops, the white one and the black one. The white Eneloop stores well, holds its charge for years, and can be re-charged many many times. The black Eneloop is also a great battery, but it excels at high drain, so don't expect it to function like the white Eneloop. Why would you want the black Eneloop Pro? It is a great battery if the device you want to power pulls a lot of current, such as a speed light (aka a flash) or something that runs a resistance heater, anything that needs a lot of juice quickly.I have a few speed lights that use AA batteries. These get the black Eneloop Pro. Flashlights also. I also have television controllers, these get the "regular" white Eneloops. For things somewhere in between, like electric door strikes, I suggest trying the while Eneloop, and if it just cannot keep up with the power demands, use the Pro.Keep in mind, the white can charge many times, the black Pro can charge about 500 times.Enjoy your batteries. And, get a good charger. I have used the Opus, the La Cross, and the Golisi. All work well. I like the Golisi because it also charges lithium batteries. Do not expect batteries to be charged. Needed them quick and ready to go, but alas… all 12 were DOA. (Dead on Arrival) Bummer. Hot wheels with my Toddler have to wait till our bigger charger gets here… but I expect once we get past this- it’ll be fine. They’re taking charge. Which is nice.
