DetailsErgonomically designed for maximum hand comfort Electronically regulated Non-conductive and corrosion proof Mechanical battery polarity protection TEN-TAP programmable switch allows user to select one of three different programs Assembled in the USA Output and run time Bright and Powerful LED TechnologyThe ProPolymax high-output polymer flashlight delivers a super-bright 300-lumen beam. C4 LED technology provides powerful light output while regulated run time provides consistent performance throughout battery life. The TEN-TAP programmable switch allows user selection of one of three different programs: high/low/strobe (factory default), high only, or low/high. The smooth parabolic reflector produces a tight beam with optimum peripheral illumination and the deep parabolic reflector produces long range brilliance and a smooth uniform beam pattern.Powered by four AA size alkaline batteries.Built to LastBuilt for durability, the ProPolymax features a body constructed of an impact and chemical resistant engineering polymer resin that is virtually indestructible, shock resistant, non-conductive and lightweight. This high performance, anti-static, thermoplastic material is resistant to chemicals and solvents. The combination of visual and mechanical polarity protection ensures correct installation of batteries. The unbreakable polycarbonate lens has a scratch resistant coating and is O-ring sealed. Its sealed switch design protects it from corrosion caused by battery leakage. IP67 rated for dust-tight and waterproof operation to 1-meter for 30-minutes and IPX4 rated for water spray and 3-meter impact resistance tested.Dimensions: 7 inches long, 1.05-inch body thickness, 1.50 inches wide, 1.93-inch face cap diameter. Couldn’t figure out the printed instructions to reprogram, so went online and found more detailed info. Reprogrammed to initial low followed by hi power on 2nd switch press. In that config it is the best small household flashlight I have seen. Low power is usually good for close work, and hi is quite bright, when needed. Also quite tough, and I prefer the plastic body compared to aluminum (which can have lots of corrosion issues if battery leakage happens).Well above average. It has three settings. The first is 300 lumens. If you don't have a reference for how bright 300 is, it is pretty darn bright. It is overkill for most situations, but nice to have that much power if the lens is dirty, you are trying to shine through a window, through smoke or fog, or if you need to reach out and touch something. The second setting is 50 lumens. This is a very practical amount of light which extends the battery life from a couple of hours to all day. I use this most often. Then there is the strobe. I have no use for that, but it doesn't get in the way.Easy to operate, well designed switch, but keep in mind it would be easy to accidentally turn it on if you jammed it tail first into a backpack. It is not perfectly round so that helps keep it from rolling away. This helps make the light even more functional.Uses 4 AA batteries. I'm converting entirely to AA's and AAA's; that makes it easier to manage and buy batteries especially rechargeables. With the efficiency and power of LED lights and newer battery technology, C's and D's aren't near as important as they used to be.It's plastic and not machined aluminum. Metal flashlights are hard on the fingers in the winter. I've flash-frozen my damp fingers to an aluminum body before. The plastic is much more comfortable.I ordered orange, but it is red. Red, red, red. The color cannot be construed as any other color. Keep that in mind when ordering. Also got the clip which is a robust, excellent accessory.Very powerful light in a relatively compact package that uses standard AA's. Extremely impressed. The price is reasonable, too. It is easy to spend a lot more and still not have everything this light has to offer.Super bright 300 lumens flashlight with a really uniform beam. Battery life is only 3 hours, compared to 155 hours for their 67 lumen flashlight, but that's the tradeoff for so much light. I own both the regular and the C4 versions of this flashlight. Get the 67 lumen flashlight, so you always have a working flashlight, and the 300 lumen C4 when you really need the extra light. If it flickers, it might just be the batteries are getting low.My C4 flashlight lasted almost three years and worked perfectly until the end. Don't make the mistake I made and put alkaline batteries in this flashlight. Alkaline batteries, even Duracell and Eveready, leak even more often than they used to. Leaking fluid from a battery dissolves the electronics module and destroys the flashlight. Considering this is a $50 flashlight, use lithium batteries!Best AA battery light on the marketThe light is great but this is more about my experience using the light in a BlackJack helmet light mount. I bought this to use on my Fire helmet. I bought this to replace a Streamlight 4aa propolymer because it's brighter and has a low, high, and strobe function. I planned on using it with my Blackjack helmet light mount model BJ002. I searched all over trying to find something saying that this light would work with that particular mount because it's the same shape as the Propolymer I had mounted before. Long story short, YES it does work, with a little coaxing. I had to force it into the mount, but it's really secure and is actually a good fit. So good that I don't need the screw used to hold the flashlight in place. I basically used a hammer and a piece of wood to not damage the light. Overall I am super happy with this setup.Streamlight lights are the best and this is no exception. Bright and light weight. Worth the money for the quality and dependability. It should be noted that this light is not dimensionally the same as the Propoly 4AA (non-"max") light. Parts cannot be interchanged between the two and I cannot use the red filter that I had been using with the previous version (the newer head diameter is larger). One has to be quick when changing modes (0.4 sec. between button pushes). Lanyard and split ring no longer included. No belt clip included, 4 stars. The photo is misleading. However, the flashlight is awesome.A fantastic AA battery powered flashlight by Streamlight. Intrinsically safe, and quite bright. My favorite flashlights are Streamlight, and this on and the Stinger HP are my favorites. Highly recommended!
