I loved the Solaray flashlights I purchased several years ago. They are five stars as are the batteries in them. They hold a charge forever and are constantly ready whenever we need them. I had purchased extra batteries at the time (as well as a charger) but we seem to have misplaced the charger so I came back to Amazon to purchase a replacement and was disappointed that there seems to be one and only one charger that will fit the Solaray batteries.Thankfully, this does work somewhat, but it doesn't charge the batteries to their original capacity. It just charged them enough to work for about 45 minutes maximum. Also, its not a wall charger so you have a cumbersome cord which is good if you need to plug this into a generator but less convenient for regular charging.My biggest complaint is that Solaray doesn't seem to be around much anymore to support their products. I invested in a number of flashlights, a big stock of batteries, etc. and was happy for years, but now that they are in need of some help, this charger seems subpar and I can't get the batteries to fully charge like I need. I don't know if the company went out of business, but I thought I had a quality product and now its almost useless.Not as good as I thought or hoped. I was convinced by other reviews that I had read. My experience was not satisfying. The instructions didn't mash with what it identified for charging and supposedly "rapid charging". It's confusing. I continued trying a few times more but either one was charged by what the light showed and the other wasn't and it turned out neither had a full charge even after being plugged in for a long time. The battery types and numbers were compatible from what was listed.My large battery fit perfectly into the charger, it worked quickly to charge, indicators intuitive.Gets the job done. Just don't let your lithium batteries go down all the way like I did.Someone gave us a flashlight, and in the fullness of time the battery failed. I was debating getting new batteries for about the same price as this charger, and decided to go for the charger, even though we have none of the other products. Glad we did. The charger worked perfectly, the directions were simple and easy to follow, and we have a brand newly charged battery and a brilliant light again!Effectivebetter made than originalwish I had known flashlight didn't come with charger
