I have done extensive testing on the I recently bought these for my hurricane preparedness kit. After being in a hurrican eight years ago, I make sure I have everything I need. I can never find an eight pack of rechargeable batteries in the shops, and I never know which ones to buy. I'm very thankful for those reviewers who explain what's good about the product, I wouldn't feel comfortable purchasing something otherwise. Batteries are not something I know much about, so thanks people!I also bought a Sony pocket radio for my hurricane preparedness kit, as the one I have is so complicated I have no idea how to use it. I tried two of these batteries in it and it blasted my ear drums. This radio (along with these batteries) is actually louder than my little flat screen TV!This is my second order for AA's and I'll also order more AAA. These do come charged, my meter indicated they were at 80% and were topped off at 100% in a half hour with my charger. I'm tossing every other rechargeable I have in the house and switching to these. Any rechargeable that still has considerable charge after 3 years is for me. My old ones were dead in a year on the shelf.I do mark each battery with the year of purchase, I found that useful for when batteries start to approach their end of life...This last order was for 3 8 packs which is actually 6 4 packs (same number). They are actually in packs of 4. One of the free battery boxes was not usable (broken tab), big deal I have others in the order and they are free. While shelf life isn't as good as Lithiums, these are 'rechargeable many times' and with my old Ni-MH charger. I love these things.I received these from 'MYBATTERYSUPPLIER' and I will purchase more...I use these in emergency flash lights and as batteries used in an aircraft tohave backup GPS functions. In the past I could not use rechargeables sincethey would go dead without use and were not suitable for emergency backup. These do a great job and seem to last about 90% as long as the non-rechargeablebatteries I used to use.Now if they could only make them put out 1.5V instead of 1.2V I could use themin more applications. They make new ones with a bit more capacity with a bit larger price tag.Oh, the charger I have for these does not work with my old rechargeables. I'mnot sure if my old charger will work with these - didn't want to risk it.
