OK for clocks, etcThey usually last 6-9 months and then I have to change them out.I had no idea that carbon batteries existed and that a lot of low draw items like clocks needed such a battery. Pay attention folks as a lot of items are made in China and they use different standards. In the past you just bought regular alkaline batteries but not today. Its amazing, several items that I thought were broken works now since replacing the batteries with these carbon batteries like my other clocks. Really odd why they never stressed the need for this kind of battery for those things. Anyways these come at a great price for an 8 pack. I will update as for longevity but for now 5 stars. ??I need carbon zinc batteries for two clocks I own and for a TVremote control. The reason I need them for the clocks is because they don't put out as much voltage as alkaline batteries, although they both say 1.5 volts, the carbon zincwon't burn up the clocks. Expensive clocks have resisters in them to prevent buen up but cheap clocks need carbon zinc batteries. I havent had these batteries very long but they work fine and I expect they will last, very pleased with my purchase. They died within 2-3 days of using them for my remoteUsed for a clock and work wellI am unable to find this type of battery locally. These arrived two days before scheduled delivery which was nice. The newer clocks I'm purchasing state not to use alkaline batteries as they will harm the clockworks. Really can't attest to the longevity yet so it gets a tentative four stars. Some of the new analog clocks specify carbon batteries rather than alkaline. These are not easy to find in your local superstore, so I was glad to get them from this shipper. Seem to work just fine.
