This replaces the stock unit for my 2001 Jeep grand cherokee limited. The stock comes with an under qualified heatsink and tends to fail. This one is built better. It is wired backwards however so keep in mind you will likely need to swap the plugs so that the fan spins correctly. Some say the jeep is the one that is backwards. I dunno. I had to rewire my plug to get it to blow properly. I'm amazed that this isn't a recall part considering that the stock plug literally burns out and that's why your blower fan stops working. No fire in my case but this seems like a potential fire hazard. Anyways the new plug/regulator works great and my fans work again.
