Whether you are making a beaded necklace, bracelet, or strands of beaded garland, The Beadsmith has got you covered! Our Beadsmith Spin & String, Spinning Wheel is a quick and efficient way to string beads in a minimal amount of time. Included in the box is a hand-crafted, hard wood spinning wheel and a needle with a J-hook at the end. The Spin & String is easy and fun to use. Before you begin, make sure you are working on a level surface. Measure you thread to be 10 inches longer than the length of the beads that you need. To use, thread your needle and knot the end, or leave it attached to the spool of thread. To avoid getting your thread tangled, tuck the short end between plies of the longer end. Pour seed beads into the cup, filling about halfway. Rotate the center spindle counterclockwise with one hand, not too fast or your beads may fly out. With your other hand, place the curved end horizontally into the beads near (but not touching) the outer wall of the right side of the cup. The beads will load onto the needle very rapidly. Once you have a couple of inches of beads on the needle, carefully life up the curved end and then push the beads down onto the thread. Repeat the whole process of spinning and string until you’ve reached the desired length of beads. An excellent time saver! TIP: If you have difficulty, try experimenting with different needle positions and spinning directions to find a combination that is most comfortable and effective for you. For this tool to be effective, there is a functional sharp edge. Please use with caution. Not recommended for children under 15 years old. EASY TO USE: Thread your needle and knot the end. Pour seed beads into the cup, filling about halfway. Rotate the center spindle counterclockwise with one hand. With your other hand, place the curved end of the needle horizontally into the cup. The beads will load onto the needle. An excellent time saver! FAST AND FUN: This hand-crafted devise is a unique way to string beads efficiently. The needles work great with seed beads of all sizes, as long as they slip over the curve of the needle. You can also string other small glass beads, including delicas in sizes 6/0 to 15/0. BEADWORK: This handy wheel is an absolute must for anyone looking to create fringe, multi-strand necklaces, appliqués, and hanks. They are great for stringing beads for ornamentation such as French beaded flowers, bead weaving, bead crochet, bead knitting and anything else requiring long strands of beads! Power Spinner Add some power to your spin! Quickly load small beads onto thread or wire to make jewelry. Spins in both directions for left or right handed use. I have been testing a variety of electric bead spinners the last few months and stumbled across this one. It bears the Beadsmith name, and is battery-operated while most have USB cords, so I had to give it a try. And I am glad I did because I think it is a great option for anyone looking for a powered bead spinner. I make French Beaded Flowers and we often switch colors multiple times within a petal or leaf. Having multiple bowls that are easily removed is a big benefit. I like the lids on the bowls so I can store my beads on my tray without spilling them, getting other stuff flying into them, and so I can stack the bowls. The speed is a nice medium speed, compared to other electric models, but that speed works for me. I like being able to change directions. Though I am right-handed, I use a variety of stringing techniques, which requires me to be able to switch spin directions. I do wish there was an option to purchase extra bowls. You can purchase extra bowls for the blue one, and they do fit well enough to work if you can situate them properly. It's not an exact fit, though, so I would still like to be able to purchase extras of the bowls that come with it.It is noisy, but all powered bead spinners are. Some more so than others. This one is louder than I'd like, but less so than the blue battery-powered one, which I also have. I like the battery power so I don't have to deal with a cord on my work space, and makes it a little easier to take it outside or wherever I want to bead without needing a portable power bank. Just use those rechargeable batteries and you're good to go.
